 We are delighted to have you visiting with us today. Mountaintop Retreat is a non-profit, nondenominational Christian camp, located 15 miles south of Montrose, Colorado, adjacent to the Uncompahgre National Forest.
We are dedicated to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, strengthening families and helping
Christians grow in their faith. As a matter of fact, we have been doing just that since our
inception in 1946.
Within these pages, you will find information on our camping programs and facilities. Programs
include youth camps, summer and winter retreats, and family camps. Our facilities are also available for holding your own camps and retreats. Mountaintop Retreat has been providing a venue for life-changing experiences for more than sixty years. Whether it's participating in a Bible drill, learning of the love of Jesus from a dynamic speaker, shooting down the water slide, zipping down the zipline or spending personal quiet time in the mountains of Colorado, you'll find that spending time away at Mountaintop Retreat provides the opportunity to commune with the Lord, in the beauty of His creation, and be refreshed.

Position Available
Mountaintop Retreat is looking for a caretaker to come on staff: This person will need to have a source of income. Between $1000.00 - $1500.00 per month and that would depend on the size or your family. This source of income can come from donations just like a missionary would receive. Or it could come from retirement or even a working spouse. The person filling this position well have to consider this a full time job. The caretaker needs to be a person:Who sees the caretaker job as more than just a caretaker of Mountaintop Retreat. Who can communicate and mixes well with people of all ages. Who is willing to step out of his comfort zone. Who is teachable and willing to listen. Who is a self-starter, does not require supervision. Who is able to work alone and/or alongside other people. Who is able to participate in discussion but does not expect his ideas to be the only ones that count. Who is able to envision the big picture when it comes to accomplishing small tasks. Who is able to work with the attitude that God is the one looking on as the person in charge. This person would need to have a well-rounded maintenance back ground. Building, small engine, landscaping, machinery operator, etc. This person will need to have a love for the out of doors. Hiking, hunting, fishing, skiing, snowshoeing etc. Having some Bible school training would be helpful but not necessary. This person would need to be willing to be involved in the ministry aspect of the camp. Teaching a devotion group, Bible class, leading another person to salvation. Mountaintop Retreat will provide a four bed room two bath log house with an attached two car garage and the utilities. Utilities include propane gas and wood for heating. Electivity is provided through solar and a diesel powered generator. A more detailed job description can be provided upon request.
